Wha gwan, posse?

That's how you might hear a native of Trinidad and Tobago greet a friend. Yup, it's my homeland that I have been away from for the last 17 years. A lot has happened since I started as a moderator on this course: from branch teacher to branch mentor to my current position: Coordinator of Training for ABCIs and Franchises. Sounds grand but basically it involves doing what I have already been doing - helping teachers to be great teachers. Of course, I have a lot of fun along the way: my hobbies include listening to music, reading, watching movies, doing any kind of physical activity (which usually means football) and learning new things on the whole.

I've been at Cultura for 9 years now and still going strong. It feels like I live and breathe the teaching experience, and my current mood on what teaching invloves has to do with learning from students. We might be tempted to think about teaching as being global-minded, technologically-equipped and in the know, but it all boils down to keeping ears and eyes wide open to the world in and out of the classroom. smile

I'm particularly fond of Twitter, and I love experimenting other resources in the classroom like Voxopop, Voice thread, Wallwisher, blogs, Pinterest, Scoopit, to name a few.

Apart from that, I love spending time with the two ladies in my life - wife and daughter.

I guess that's all for now! Cheers and remember the celing can't hold us!
